Star Wars: The Old Republic is a match rich with resources, high-tech schematics and many opportunities for any avid gamer. But is it really possible to get a huge amount of done with only a single character? You could try that will, but it would take up so much time to do and also game would stop being enjoyable and more like a huge undertaking. This is where the crew comes in. The SWTOR Crew Skills system will let you assign tasks to your companions, such as gathering resources, crafting valuable items and likewise undertaking missions that could bring extra benefits to you with your crew. Gathering Skills As you explore different planets, you'll encounter numerous resources and with the right training, your crew will be ready to scavenge these raw materials, slice computer systems and track affordable valuable artifacts. The resources that your crew has gathered can be sold for a profit in the open market or be used to craft items. If you would like to, you can select gathering skills for all 3 of the crew skill slots in your team. The gathering skills include: Archaeology - the ability to seek out specially imbued items, like ancient artifacts and lightsaber crystals Bioanalysis - being able to decode genetic material from plants and animals Scavenging - being able to recover useful parts from old or damaged technology Slicing - being able to access secure computer systems to get valuable data and hard to find schematics Crafting Skills As said before, you can choose to apply your resources to craft items. The items that you can craft would depend how you assign the specialized crew skills to certain team members. In the end, your crew should be able to develop weapons, armor, implants and other types of gear. You can implement these items yourself or even sell these crafted items. Crafting is a very specialized skill so you may only assign only 1 crafting skill to 3 of the crew skill slots which can be found. The crafting skills include: Armormech - the skill to turn metallic materials and electronics to generate personal armor Armstech - the skill to construct blasters, blaster weapons etc. Artifice - the special skill of creating Jedi together with Sith artifacts Biochem - the ability to create performance improving upon serums and biological implants Cybertech - the skill to create gadgets for Droids and likewise high-tech armor Synthweaving - the special skill of inventing supernaturally imbued brightness armors and outfits Mission Skills These skills are a unique fixture to the SWTOR Credit crew skills set. With the skills, you can send crew members across the galaxy regarding various missions, looting, recovering valuable information or completing goals meant for rewards. Mission skills can lead you to earn light or simply dark side points. You can also assign any number of crew skills to mission skills in the process. The mission skills include: Diplomacy - the ability to talk with other players Investigation - the ability to follow clues and examine evidence to locate valuable information Treasure hunting - the skill to track down and find highly valuable items Underworld trading - the ability to market illicit goods or services You'll be able to choose any of these SWTOR Account crew skills once you reach level 10. Once crafting certain items, you can also reverse engineer them that will craft new items. You can also reverse engineer some things that you find in the Star Wars universe as well.
